I got into "The West
Wing" before it even started on Channel 4! I had seen news items
about the show in the press and thought it looked too interesting to be
ignored.
When, of course, it DID start
in the UK, I was hooked. The witty, fast paced writing, the excellent
playing of the characters, the scenes...
Then, the dratted thing moved
to E4 and, eventually, More4 - neither of which I had. I was lost.
Now, I have Freeview and can
catch up and, although the quality of the show has thinned since series
creator Aaron Sorkin left, it's still one of the most enjoyable series
being broadcast - I will be saddened to see it end after Season Seven. |

The
first two seasons had distinctive UK packaging, both on VHS and DVD - from
Season Three onwards, the packaging matched the US releases, though without
any of the 'extras' that the Region 1 discs had! |
