Whedon left (briefly) the world of Buffy and Angel to produce a new series
entitled "Firefly" - set in space but with a strong 'Cowboy Western' feel.
Unfortunately, the show was cancelled mid-run (though it later proved to
be a success both on DVD and on the cinema screen, with a full length movie
titled "Serenity"!) Inkworks signed up to release a trading card set for
the movie, and seeing the success of that set (which practically sold out!)
they are (at time of writing) issuing a set baed on the series itself.
Serenity gained the honour of picking up where Buffy left off, becoming the cover of the San Diego 2005 'Variant' issue of Non-Sport Update magazine! |

The NSU San Diego 'Variant Cover' issue 2005 came with an exclusive Serenity Promo, limited to 2005 - the issue sold out within weeks of release. The card was foil (which partially explains the quality of the scan!) | |||||||||||
