Every
year since 2001, Inkworks has offered a sealed pack of exclusive promo
cards at the famous San Diego ComicCon show. (Before 2001, thre were
San Diego exclusive cards, but as singles rather than in packs - though
if anyone knows differently I'm happy to correct this page!) Usually, the
promos highlight forthcoming sets, though on occasion they have been for
sets not likely to see the light of day for a year or more!
Originally exclusively available at the Inkworks stand, in recent years, a very limited number of packs have been available from the Inkworks website, though they are EXTREMELY limited and usually 'sell out' within days of the detaisl being posted. The first pack, in 2001, was just promo cards - subsequent packs have had a 'title' card promoting Inkworks itself, rather than any one set. The cards vary from year to year, though you can usually count on something representing the Whedonverse (Joss Whedon's creations Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Serenity) appearing in the pack, and usually something from the creative force that is JJ Abrams (Alias/Lost)! The 2007 pack was the biggest to date, with 13 cards (not including the previously unannounced extra Jericho card!) |
