Star Trek: Deep Space 9 |
||||||||
|
Despite
being (IMHO!) the best of the four Trek series to date, Deep Space 9 (or
DS9 for short) has been badly served by the trading card companies.
Only three sets were ever issued (if you don't include the 'Factory collated'
set issued by Fleer Skybox to mark the season premiere)
However, there have been some very nice cards included in the three sets ("Inaugural", "Profiles" and "Memories From The Future") including autographs, and some of these are shown here. In 2003, Rittenhouse Archive picked up the franchise, and released "The Complete Star Trek Deep Space Nine" with a 190 card base set, autographs, costume cards and more. Included amongst the signers for this set was Colm Meaney, making his trading card autograph debut! |

| Memories From The Future | The
DS9 Memories From the Future set had a 'Captains Card' which was part of
a set of four cards issued in 1998/1999. (the others were to be found in
"TOS Season Three", "TNG
Season Seven" and "VGR Profiles") Each card was limited to 1200
(odds - 1:750) and was hand numbered on the back
This one shows Captain Benjamin Sisko and is numbered '510/1200' |

| The
autographs below are a nearly complete set from the "Memories From The
Future" issue - at time of writing, the only card missing is A19 (Rick
Berman)! As it's unlikely that I will ever get the Rick Berman card,
I'm considering this to be the next best thing to a complete set - an achievable
set!
(of course, if YOU have the Berman card and are prepared to let me have it for less than $50...!!!) |

| Costume Card CC3 - Green and Black pattern 'variant' - there were three different CC3 cards, all featuring a piece of costume worn by Andrew Robinson as 'Garak' - this was the rarest of the three, with only 225 made (according to the Rittenhouse Archive website)! | |||||||||
