|
The
third 'spin-off' from Star Trek, Voyager, has had 5 different sets issued,
namely; "Season One", "Season One Series Two", "Season Two", "Profiles"
and "Closer To Home". Of these, only the last two had autograph cards;
however this doesn't mean there were no interesting bonus/chase cards available
in the other sets! A particularly nice card is the EMH Hologram card
from "Season One" which shows a MOVING image of The Doctor (played by Robert
Picardo)
For some
reason Fleer Skybox were always a little more adventurous with Voyager
cards; other chases available in sets included Scratch 'n' Sniff cards
and transparent plastic cards (both of which are a little difficult to
scan!)
I'm working
on getting a complete set of the crew auto's - At time of writing I am
only missing Jennifer Lien (Kes) - as and when I get it, it will
appear on this page!
In 2001
the Voyager trading card franchise was taken over by Rittenhouse Archive
- to date they have produced several 'themed' sets (including "Women of
Star Trek Voyager" and one set covering the entire seven seasons of the
show (The Complete Star Trek Voyager) |

The effect doesn't really work
on a 'static' image, but moving the card shows the EMH moving; using a
scanner and looking up at you. (The above was scanned from two different
directions, to give a rough idea of the effect)

The near-mythical
card '7 of 9' from the 7 of 9 'Chase' set. (and, no, I DIDN'T buy it from
a dealer; I was lucky and got it out of a packet!)
The card differs from the rest
of the set in that it is printed on a silver/chrome card and is not embossed. |

Command Crew card
CC9 - Harry Kim. These cards alternated with autograph cards; there
would either be one of these or an auto in every box. The CC cards
were individually numbered; this one is 429 of 750 |

One of
the chase sets was called 'Interstellar Species' - there were 9 'cards'
(actually plastic) in the set, each showing a different species encountered
by the Voyager Crew, with a description on the back from 7 of 9's files.
The advertised version was florescent Yellow/Green; however, there was
also an unadvertised Orange variant randomly inserted into pack - these
were MUCH rarer! |
