Stage Nine: "Carey's Castle", nr Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland
On my guestbook I was asked why I had no pictures from Ireland on display.  It was a simple oversight!  Here, then, are a few snaps of one mf my favourite places, "Carey's Castle", near Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
No, I can't give you detailed directions!
For as long as I can remember, my family has visited "Carey's Castle (I'm not sure if that is it's real name!), picnicing, clambering around the ruins and attempting to dam the stream that runs alongside.
I still love the place, and, when I can, I go there - it's quite a long walk, but I HAVE done it!
The 'castle' is in the middle of forestry land on the Tipperary/Waterford border, and is accessable by a rough track that dips into a valley.  You can't see it from the road and, unless you are a forestry worker in a 4WD vehcle, you can't drive to it.
More pictures of Clonmel and surrounding areas will follow soon.
